thecreepylittlegirl:

You can’t pick and choose what parts of feminism you want. You can’t support your queer sisters but not your trans sisters. You can’t support your fat sisters but not your sisters of colour. Being a feminist means creating a positive and equal space for women. The second you start excluding women based on which characteristics you do or do not find appealing you have defeated the whole point of being a feminist.

The stonewall riots were started by trans women of colour and nobody is allowed to forget that

Marsha P Johnson and Sylvia Rivera didn’t march so that you could be transmisogynt and cissexist.

i have limited sympathy for people who get told “no” after a public proposal because public proposals are pretty much emotionally abusive

like seriously

if you think it’s kinda cute, you can discuss it beforehand and then do a staged one later

but putting someone on the spot in front of a crowd of strangers (or worse, friends) and demanding they give you a yes or no answer to a complex question which will affect the rest of their life is

really not okay

wretchedoftheearth:

why are people so lacking in basic empathy? and worse, proud of it? it’s honestly pathetic. there is nothing novel or interesting about being unable to understand the pain of another human being. it isn’t difficult to refuse to or be unable to empathize with people when you dehumanize them.
